DETAILS OF ACCOMMODATION
Picturesque Roquebrun overlooks the splendid Orb valley, with its river winding through woods and vineyards. The house is in the center of the village with a small parking area nearby.

Entrance is directly into a bright hallway with to the right a large room with shower, large closet, washing machine, and separate WC; on the opposite side of the hallway stairs lead down to a storage area (not for clients use).
The hallway leads directly into a living/dining room. There is dining table for 6, sofa and TV / VCR with a large open fireplace.French doors open out onto a balcony that stretches the length of the house, with superb views of the surrounding landscape, consisting of gardens, olive groves, and hills opposite.
The American kitchen, is equipped with dishwasher, fridge-freezer, combination electric and gas cooker, with extractor fan.
Back in the main hallway, stairs lead up to a landing, off which are 3 bedrooms consisting of 2 twin bedrooms, and one double bedroom. The rooms are bright and airy. There is a modern bathroom with power shower, WC and washbasin.

ABOUT THE AREA
Roquebrun, is sometimes referred to as the "Little Nice" of Languedoc. It has a microclimate, which makes life warmer in the winter months (a mimosa festival in January). The village cascades down a hillside, with at the top the ruins of a castle, which is next to a glorious Mediterranean garden, with a large variety of flowers, cacti, as well as walks that lead off into the wild countryside beyond. The picturesque village streets, are highlighted by the church and the arched gateways, and lead down to the main road, which is lined with restaurants and looks over the bubbling river Orb. The river is perfect for canoeing or bathing. The village has a grocery store as well as a number of excellent restaurants.

Nearby sights and villages include St Chinian, which has a colorful Sunday market, as well as numerous restaurants; Fontcaude Abbey; and the Gorges d'Heric, with its towering cliffs of rock and stunning views. Thirty minutes drive is the cathedral city of Beziers with a charming old quarter, and famed for its bull fighting and festivals during the Summer months. Ten minutes further are the endless beaches of the Mediterranean - be it Cap d'Agde with its naturist beaches, or Valras with beaches for all tastes!
ACCESS
International airports are close at hand. For visitors coming from London - Ryanair flies into Carcassonne (60 minutes). Montpellier is about 75 minutes drive and Toulouse is just over 2 hours. The railway (TGV) goes into Beziers where at the station cars can be rented.
