Fully refurbished by an architect in 2006 - the apartments offer stylish interiors with both contemporary and medieval influences. They feature comfortable entertaining spaces, fully applianced kitchens, marble bathrooms with spabaths, beds made up with crisp cotton bed linen, full entertainment systems with wifi for laptops and outdoor spaces.
The terrace offers peace and tranquility with a beautiful view across the ancient rooftops of caunes. It captures all day sun, has large daybed for reading, relaxing, sunbathing and in the evenings is the perfect place for an aperitif.

CAUNES MINERVOIS
Caunes minervois is a picturesque medieval village nestling at the base of the Montagne Noire. The climate is Mediterranean, the surrounding rolling countryside offers endless vistas of vineyards and ancient stone walls zig zagging the hillsides. The village itself is lively with a celebrated gourmet restaurant, wine tasting caves, various artists in residence and the Abbey of Caunes a splendid romanesque abbey which hosts classical concerts friday evenings throughout the summer months.
The village is medieval and offers examples of renaissance architecture amidst tiny winding streets and strolling around the village is a popular pastime for tourists.
SURROUNDING AREA
The surrounding area offers many exceptional tourist attractions within 10-30 minutes from your apartment. This is the mysterious land of the Cathares with ruined castles, 1000 year old churches,fortified cities and roman villages and ruins. The largest fortified city in europe "La Cite'' in Carcassonne which is spectacular is only twenty minutes from caunes and Chateau lastours just 15 minutes. Signposted walking tracks leave the village and climb into the montagne noire passing through vineyards and olive groves, from one houir to all day walks these are a great way to explore the mediterranean countryside. The surrounding area also boasts some wonderful restaurants located beside canals, overlooking the vineyards or hidden in the mountains. We can certainly recommend our favourites to you and some of the real regional restaurants are simply must sees!
