DETAILS OF ACCOMMODATION
A bright airy, three bedroom village house, fully equipped kitchen two bathrooms and living/dining room with a walk-out into a large terrace with superb views. It is furnished in a Mediterranean style and offers every comfort. There is also a sofa bed in the living room for the occasional overnight guest. There is ample parking space in the private driveway.
The large pool (10m X 5m) has a counter current, that gives you a great work-out, is in a magnificent setting, bordered by olive trees and a superb view. The pool has a safety cover and also has a locked gate.There is also an outdoor solar heated shower. There is a large garden that overlooks the river Cesse.

La Caunette, Minervois
LA CAUNETTE AND SURROUNDING AREA
La Caunette, surrounded by vineyards, is a village of approximately 250 inhabitants and is located in the wine-producing area of the Minervois. There is a village shop, post office, bar/cafe and an excellent restaurant. There is a tennis court and visitors are encouraged to participate in the weekly game of boules(petanque).
There is plenty to do and see if you seek an active vacation. The village of Minerve, 8km, is built on a gorge, and is the site where the Cathars were persecuted; visit the museum in the village. Further afield is the famous city of Carcassonne.
The Canal du Midi has a port at Homps, approximately 12km. At Homps you can take a 2hr boat trip on the canal or hire a boat for a day.
Nearby is Lac Jouarres, a favourite spot for windsurfing.
There are numerous caves that you can visit to taste the local wines.
Sigean African Park, just South of Narbonne is well worth a visit, allow a full day.

International airports are within easy driving distance - Beziers (45 mins), Carcassonne (45 mins), Perpignan (60 mins), Montpellier (1h25), Toulouse (1h30), Nimes (1h45), Barcelona (3h). There are railway stations at Narbonne (25 mins), and Beziers (45 mins) with TGV connections to Paris.
