Domaine De Palatz close to Carcassonne offers fabulous accommodation and location on the edge of the village Laure Minervois, with fabulous views.
Domaine de Palatz is an U-shaped property built around a centre courtyard, consisting of three, separate, spacious newly refurbished cottages. All are individually designed with modern facilities, yet retain their rustic character with thick stone walls and original beams.
The 3 self catering gites / cottages are
Sunflower - sleeps 6 persons
Lavender - sleeps 2 / 4 persons
Tulip - sleeps 2 /5 persons
Can be rented separately or together, to sleep a total of 15 persons
Bed and Breakfast - Chambre d'Hotes
There are 3 beautiful bedrooms with king size beds and en-suite bathrooms and double sinks
The Emerald room has a sapphire bathroom
The Ruby room a pearl bathroom
Amber has its own independence entrance through the court yard with panoramic views of the mountains and the vineyards.
Emerald and Ruby have direct access to the garden and the swimming pool.

July and August includes air-conditioning.
The rooms include TV / DVD / fridge & kettle---PLUS a tea and coffee hospitality tray,
PLUS use of swimming pool and pool house.
On sunny days breakfast will be served in the garden.
The Self Catering gites /cottages for rental
Cottage Rental 1: SUNFLOWER: sleeps 6 persons. Main bedroom - twin beds, medium bedroom (which is accessed through main bedroom) double bed. Separate area for wardrobes. All bed linen is supplied Bathroom: bath with shower over, WC, twin basins.
Downstairs, smaller bedroom (accessed off lounge), full size bunk beds. Large lounge / dining area seats six. Kitchen, fully equipped including iron and ironing board, washing machine, dishwasher, oven and hob, microwave oven.
Cottage Rental 2: LAVENDER: sleeps 2- 4 persons, all bed linen is supplied. Bedroom - double bed. Kitchen, fully equipped including iron and ironing board, washing machine, dishwasher, oven and hob, microwave oven, seats four. Lounge, with double bed settee, large bathroom/shower/WC, twin basins.
Cottage Rental 3: TULIP: sleeps 5 persons, all bed linen is supplied. Bedroom - double bed, half bedroom with single bed, Bathroom: shower, WC, basin. Large lounge with double bed settee, sofa. Kitchen: fully equipped including iron and ironing board, washing machine, dishwasher, oven and hob, microwave oven, seats six.

LAURE MINERVOIS AND SURROUNDING AREA
Laure Minervois has a lake. In the village there is a butchers, 2 general stores, bakery, doctor, hairdresser café / bar , post office, school, caves for wine tasting
Laure Minervois is in the heart of the wine growing area of the Minervois, Aude, Languedoc Roussillon, South France. Surrounded by Abbeys, Cathare Castles, Canal Du Midi, Forests, Grottos.
Close by are the villages of Caunes Minervois, Villeneuve Minervois, Peyriac Minervois, each with their own bars, restaurants, cafes, abbeys, windmill, horse drawn carriage in Laure Minervois
The region is famous for "les Chateaux du pays Cathare" and has many castles, towns and villages dating back over 800 years.
The walled city of Carcassonne with its 52 towers is only a short drive to the south and no visit to this area should be contemplated without seeing this wonderful medieval town
Limoux, the town known for its Blanquette (Champagne style wine) is about 30 minutes from our village. Just past Limoux is the spa town of Alet les Bains and then Rennes Ie chateau, famed for its mysterious treasure. Montsegur, the last bastion of the Knights Templar, is within easy reach, as is the spectacular Gorge de Galamus.
We are just over 40 minutes from the beaches of Narbonne and Leucate to the East, also not too far from the Pyrenees, Andorra and Northern Spain.
Toulouse is the nearest large city, with Perpignan, and both can be reached in an hour and a half, an ideal base for enjoying the wealth of activities, areas of interest and historic sites.
Other activities include golf, go-carting and horse-riding. There is also a safari park, a bison farm and the shops, museums and churches of Toulouse and Albi.
