Carcassonne: Medieval Cité

Be prepared to walk up to 3 kilometers of walls, climb some of the 52 towers, visit the hallowed ground of the Basilica Saint Nazaire, and the Comtal Castle.

Carcassonne: Bastide Saint Louis

The lower, and more modern city was built in 1247 by King Saint Louis. Its lively streets, busy with restaurants, shops, boasts amongst it many treasures - Saint Michel Cathedral, Saint Vincent church, and Carnot Square.
