A comfortable, newly restored and equipped 3 bedroom character house in the village of FLEURY D'AUDE which is situated on the coastal plain of the Languedoc, in the centre of the Golfe du Lion, between the Mediterranean, the Massif de la Clape, and the mouth of the river Aude.
You will be won over by this welcoming area with its countless natural sites, its exceptional historical and architectural heritage, not to mention its remarkable gastronomic cuisine.

DETAILS OF ACCOMMODATION
On the second floor, the lady owner has redesigned the attic area of this typical Mediterranean house with a light touch playing on the geometry of the angles and using reflected light to best advantage. The exposed beams dominate and enhance the volume of the rooms.
There are three charming areas:
*A very pleasant sitting room where you can really feel the atmosphere of the South and which gives onto a roof terrace enabling you to make the most of your Mediterranean evenings.
*A large and enchanting master bedroom with a comfortable bed (1m80 wide - in effect 2 single beds that can be used as a double or 2 singles). The atmosphere is light and sunny with a décor incorporating different natural colours: linen, brick, the orangey-red of the floor tiles reminiscent of terra-cotta of a bygone era and the noble colour of wood. An unusual and attractive feature is the overhead drape with hanging, dual-tone linen plait.
*A shower room with WC and washbasin en-suite.
On the first floor there is:
*A bathroom with bath, washbasin and WC.
*Two very pleasant communicating bedrooms (with door between to preserve your privacy). Each bedroom has a 1m40 bed with pretty voile bedheads and is tastefully decorated in shades of white and orange. Distinctive decorative flowers and butterflies adorn each room.
The layout of the ground floor is eminently convivial, for the kitchen, equipped with "herbes de Provence" is an extension of the sitting/dining room.
You'll fall in love with the way the rooms have been decorated. Honey, white and ochre colours bring gaiety to the whole house and that much-desired impression of cool in the heat of Summer.
All the household electrical goods are in the house for your comfort, (washing machine, dishwasher, gas cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, TV).
The lady owner will give you a warm welcome, advise and guide you in the choice of all there is to discover as a tourist and for tasting the vintage wines of this lovely sunny region.

*FLEURY D'AUDE, the old inland village in the heart of the vineyards of the Clape. A typical medieval fortified village, it has charming little streets and attractive shops. You can sample its fine wines in 12 local wine cellars. There is also a wide range of leisure activities
* ST PIERRE LA MER, the seaside resort par excellence with a charming and convivial family atmosphere and 8 kms of fine, sandy beaches and a marina
*LES CABANES DE FLEURY, an appealing little fishing port whose traditions are still very much alive and which also has a beach.

Payment is based on the Euro Value - £ and $ are only approximate. All prices include electricity/gas/water except where noted. Saturday 18.30 pm arrival to Saturday 11.30 am departure. The owner provides wine tours and tastings by special arrangement. Special rates are available for long term rentals - contact the owner. There is an additional charge for heating from Oct - April.
